Switching from Hostinger
Redesign your Hostinger website with Webese
Hostinger's AI builder gets a site live fast because it's bundled with hosting you're already paying for. Here's what changes when the site itself is built from your positioning instead of a category template.
Signs it's time for a redesign
The site was set up mainly to have something live alongside your Hostinger hosting plan, not because the copy was carefully thought through.
Editing means working inside Hostinger's block-based site builder instead of just changing what you mean to say.
The copy reads like a category template — accurate, but not specific to your business.
You want a real store or booking flow that doesn't feel bolted onto a hosting-first product.
What changes when you switch
| Aspect | On Hostinger today | After switching to Webese |
|---|---|---|
| How the site's copy was written | A category template filled with Hostinger AI's generic on-topic copy. | Generated from your actual positioning — audience, outcome, and what makes you different. |
| Editing after launch | Hostinger's block-based site editor — swap pre-built sections, limited layout control. | Click any text, image, or graphic directly on the page to change it in place. |
| Selling products or services | Tied to Hostinger's own hosting and commerce bundle. | A store built in from the start — your own Stripe account or bank transfer, 0% Webese fees. |
| Your domain | Registered and hosted through Hostinger. | Keep it — point it at Webese, or transfer it in. Either way, DNS is handled for you. |
How switching works
- 1
Tell Webese about your business
The same conversation every Webese site starts from — your audience, offer, and what makes you different — whether or not you're bringing an existing site across.
- 2
Bring your existing content across
An AI importer that reads your current Hostinger site and carries over your real content — copy, images, product listings — into the new draft, so you're editing your own material, not starting from a blank page. This is the part currently in development; see the note below.
- 3
Review and edit the draft
Everything lands in the same click-to-edit canvas as any other Webese site — resize a logo, rewrite a headline, delete a section you don't need, all in place.
- 4
Point your domain at Webese
Keep the domain you already own. Webese shows you the exact DNS record to add at Hostinger (or wherever it's registered) and handles verification and SSL automatically.
Import preview — coming soon
The AI importer that reads an existing Hostinger site and carries its content into a Webese draft is in development, not live yet. Until it ships, switching means describing your business the same way any new Webese site starts — and copying over specific text or images you want kept is a normal part of that conversation. This page will be updated with a walkthrough video once the importer is ready.
A hosting bundle isn't a positioning exercise
Hostinger AI's website builder exists mainly to give hosting customers a fast way to have something live — reasonable for what it is, but the tool was built to fill a category template quickly, not to ask what makes your business different from the next one in the same category.
That shows up exactly the way it does with any template-first builder: the site is on-topic and functional, but a visitor can't tell, from the copy alone, why this business specifically is the right choice.
What actually changes when you switch
Webese asks the positioning questions first — audience, outcome, differentiator, objections — and generates the site's structure and copy from those answers, so the result reads like your business instead of your category.
The store also moves from a hosting-bundle add-on to something built in and fully real: checkout through your own Stripe account or bank transfer, at 0% Webese fees.
Questions about switching from Hostinger
Can Webese import my existing Hostinger site automatically today?+
Not yet — that importer is in development. Right now, switching means starting a Webese build the normal way (describing your business) and bringing over specific copy or images you want kept as part of that conversation. This page will be updated the moment automatic import ships.
Will I lose my domain or hosting if I switch from Hostinger to Webese?+
You keep whatever domain you already own — Webese shows you the exact DNS record to add at your registrar (Hostinger or anywhere else) for a one-time $24 fee, and handles verification and SSL automatically. You can keep or cancel your Hostinger hosting plan separately; the domain and the site don't have to stay bundled together.
Do I need to keep paying for Hostinger hosting once I switch?+
No — once your domain points at Webese, Webese hosts the published site. Whether you keep Hostinger for anything else (email, other domains) is entirely up to you.
What happens to my Hostinger store or product listings?+
Products need to be re-added in Webese's own store today, since the importer doesn't move commerce data yet. Once added, they're real, purchasable products — checkout runs through your own Stripe account or bank transfer, at 0% Webese fees.
Is switching from Hostinger to Webese free to try?+
Yes — building, editing, and sharing a live preview link are free for everyone, so you can generate and review a redesigned draft before deciding anything. Publishing it to your own domain is what a paid plan unlocks.
