Changelog

What's new on Webese.ai, newest first.

September 19, 2026

Switch Wizard now brings your real photos and voice across too

Importing your current site used to pull just its colours and copy. It now also reads how your copy actually sounds and writes the new site to match, and finds real content photos on the page — team photos, product shots, gallery images — offering to use them directly in the new design instead of generating fresh ones for those spots. Every photo is copied to Webese's own storage first, so it keeps working after your old site comes down.

Builds queue instead of failing when it's busy

When more sites are being generated than Webese runs at once, your build now waits in line rather than being turned away — the chat shows your place in the queue, updates it as slots free up, and starts the build automatically when your turn comes. You can have two builds under way at a time and start up to 30 an hour, on any plan.

Resize a text box, or just make the text fit

A heading clipped by the box around it can now be fixed with one button — Fit text grows the box until the whole heading shows. Drag handles on the right edge, bottom and corner give you finer control over a text block's width and height. Neither pins a pixel width, so a block you resize on a laptop still behaves on a phone.

Logos lose their background automatically

Upload a logo that came off an old site — usually a JPEG with a white box baked in — and Webese removes the background so it sits properly on a coloured header. It's reversible in one click, and when the background is a photo or a gradient it says so and leaves the file alone rather than cutting into the mark. Admins also get a new Assets page listing every uploaded file with what still uses it.

Device previews, a tidier editor header, and help guides

The builder now switches between desktop, tablet and mobile and shows the real layout each device gets, in both preview and the editor. The editor's header has been rebuilt around one view switch and a single menu for fonts, link checks and sharing. And there's a new help section at /help, including a complete walkthrough of building a site from scratch.

September 14, 2026

Every published site is now guarded for phones

Publishing enforces a correct mobile viewport and protects against the usual causes of a page sliding off the edge of a phone screen — oversized images, rows that refuse to stack, unbreakable long links, wide tables. Applied at publish time, so sites built earlier pick it up on their next publish. Headings can also be nudged smaller or larger from the editor's text toolbar.

September 12, 2026

Better hero layouts, and smarter questions

Heroes no longer clip a long headline to make room for an image — the image gives way, or the layout switches to a full-bleed treatment. Webese also now asks you up to three short questions about anything your description left out, rather than inventing an answer.

September 11, 2026

About sections, image controls, and domain-move guidance

Every site now gets a real About section, built from a question only you can answer rather than an invented founder story. Images can be resized up as well as down and set to fill their slot instead of fitting inside it. Sites switched over from another provider now get step-by-step guidance for moving their domain, preselected for their actual registrar. Stores now say plainly that a site has to be published before buy buttons can take money.

September 10, 2026

Fonts, reference images, and video headers

Change the fonts across your whole site from curated Google Fonts pairings, previewed live on your own page — and your choice is carried through later AI revisions. You can also attach a reference image (a screenshot, or a mockup from another tool) and have Webese take design direction from it, and a site can now use a video as its header or background.

September 9, 2026

Switch Wizard: bring your existing site across

Give Webese the address of your current site and it reads the colours and copy off it, then rebuilds around your positioning — inspired by what you have rather than a pixel copy. Your existing site stays live and untouched until you move your domain yourself. Maps generated on a site can now have their location changed from the editor.

September 5, 2026

Duplicate any repeated card

Hover a product, team member, or any other repeated card in the editor for a Duplicate button — another one in exactly the same design, with no rewrite and no AI round-trip.

September 1, 2026

Shows and ticketing, and editable background photos

Bands, venues and event organisers can list gigs on their site and sell through their existing ticketing provider. A hero's CSS background photo is now clickable and resizable in the editor, the same as any other image.

August 29, 2026

A real blog menu, and complete order details

A published site's Blog nav item is now a live dropdown of its actual posts, kept in sync automatically, with the first post linked from the homepage nav. Store orders now capture full buyer details — name, email, phone and address — so an order can actually be fulfilled.

Webese.ai launches publicly

Webese.ai is now publicly available: AI-assisted website creation, responsive designs, AI-generated content, customisable layouts, and a store for selling products or services.
