Privacy Policy

What Webese collects about you, why, and who it's shared with — and how that's different from what happens on the sites you build.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy is issued by Webese.AI LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, which operates Webese.ai ('Webese', 'we', 'us'). It covers two things: how Webese handles information about you when you use the Service (build an account, generate and edit a site, publish, buy a plan), and, separately, what happens with information a visitor to a site you've built and published gives to you through it (a store purchase, a contact form). Those are different relationships — the second one is between you and your visitor, with Webese acting as your service provider, not the data controller — and this policy is clear about which section covers which.

2. Information we collect about you

Account information: your email address and authentication details, handled through our authentication provider (Supabase).

Billing information: when you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe — Webese does not receive or store your full card number. We do receive billing metadata from Stripe (subscription status, invoice history) needed to run your account.

Content you create: the prompts you write, the sites, pages, and products you generate and edit, and any images you upload or generate through the Service.

Usage data: which features you use and when (e.g. a generation or publish event), collected to operate and improve the Service and shown back to you in your own dashboard.

If you connect your own Stripe account or bank details to sell through your site's store, we store what's needed to route checkout to you (your Stripe secret key, encrypted at rest, or your bank account details) — never your customers' full payment card details, which Stripe's checkout handles directly.

3. How we use it

To provide the Service: generating and hosting your sites, processing your subscription, running the editor, and sending store-order emails on your behalf.

To run a content-policy check on generation requests before a site is built, so a request isn't used to build something like a phishing or fraud page — see the Terms of Service for what that check looks for. This uses the text of your request, processed by our AI provider (OpenAI) for that purpose.

To communicate with you about your account, billing, and material changes to the Service.

To detect and prevent abuse of the Service, including the content-policy checks described above.

4. Who we share it with

We share information with the vendors that make the Service work, each processing only what's needed for their part: Supabase (authentication and database hosting), Stripe (subscription billing, and store checkout for sites using Webese's own payment flow), Cloudflare (hosting published sites and site traffic analytics), OpenAI (generating site content and images, and the content-policy check described above), Resend (transactional emails — order receipts and notifications), and Namecheap (domain registration, only if you buy a domain through the Service).

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with anyone else except: to comply with a legal obligation, to protect the rights, property, or safety of Webese or others, or if the business is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale (in which case we'll let you know before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy).

5. Your site's own visitors

If your published site collects information from its own visitors — a store order, a contact form submission — you are the one making decisions about that data (what's collected, how it's used), and Webese processes it on your behalf as your service provider. You're responsible for your own site having whatever privacy disclosures apply to what it collects, the same way you'd be responsible for that on any platform. Order data (a buyer's email, what they bought) is visible to you in your dashboard and is used by Webese only to operate the store feature — send the receipt/notification emails described in Section 3, and nothing else.

6. Cookies and analytics

The Webese app uses cookies needed to keep you signed in. If you've configured Google Analytics for your own published site, that runs under your own Google Analytics account and is governed by Google's own privacy terms, not Webese's — Webese only loads the tag you provided. Webese also uses Cloudflare's privacy-preserving analytics to show you aggregate traffic for sites you've published (page views, popular pages), without third-party cookies or tracking individual visitors across other sites.

7. Data retention

We keep your account information and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep it longer for a legal, tax, or accounting reason (for example, billing records), or where content still needs to be retained for an active legal claim.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to or restrict some of how it's used. You can access and edit most of your account information directly from your dashboard; for anything else, or to exercise a right not covered there, email hello@webese.ai and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK, or Switzerland, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you're a California resident, you have rights under the CCPA/CPRA to know what personal information we've collected, to delete it, and to opt out of its sale — Webese does not sell personal information, so there's nothing to opt out of on that front.

9. Children's privacy

The Service isn't directed at children and isn't intended for use by anyone below the age of digital consent in their jurisdiction — see the Terms of Service. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child has provided us information, contact hello@webese.ai and we'll remove it.

10. International transfers

Webese and the vendors listed in Section 4 may process and store information in countries other than the one you're in. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for transfers of personal information out of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If a change is material, we'll make reasonable efforts to let existing account holders know. The date this policy was last updated isn't tracked on this page yet — check back or contact us if you need to confirm the current version predates a specific change.
