Getting started
Use a design you like as inspiration
Attach a picture of a design you like — a mockup you generated elsewhere, a screenshot, or your existing site — and Webese takes direction from it.
- 1
Attach the image in the build chat
Use the attach button beside the message box and pick the image. A screenshot, a photo, an export from another tool, or a mockup you had ChatGPT generate all work.
- 2
Say what you want taken from it
"Use this colour palette", "this kind of layout", "this feel but for a bakery". Without direction Webese takes a general read of the palette, typography weight and structure.
- 3
Refine from there
The reference steers the first draft; after that you keep going in chat and in the editor as normal.
Worth knowing
- The result is inspired by the reference, not a copy of it. Webese builds real, hand-written CSS from the direction it takes — it doesn't trace the image, and it won't reproduce someone else's site.
- Very large photos are compressed automatically before upload. If an image is rejected, it's usually a HEIC file from an iPhone — export or screenshot it as JPEG or PNG first.
