Connect a domain you already own
Point a domain you already own at your Webese site. One-time fee, no subscription.
- 1
Publish the site first
A domain needs somewhere to point. Connect it once the site is live at its webese.ai address.
- 2
Add your domain from the dashboard
Enter the domain you own. Webese identifies your registrar and shows the exact record to add — GoDaddy, Namecheap, Wix, Shopify and the other common ones each get their own steps rather than generic instructions.
- 3
Add the record at your registrar
Copy the record Webese gives you into your registrar's DNS settings. The steps name the actual screens to click through for your registrar.
- 4
Wait for it to verify
Verification and a real SSL certificate are handled automatically once the record is visible. DNS changes usually take minutes, occasionally a few hours.
Worth knowing
- Connecting a domain is a one-time $24 fee, not a subscription.
- If your domain currently has email running on it, say so when you're following the steps — the record for a bare domain and the record for a domain with existing mail are not the same, and getting this wrong is what breaks people's email.
